A lot of users have given feedback lately about other players abandoning games without finishing. This is understandably annoying, especially with repeat offenders. We will be implementing several new features to combat this behavior starting with changes to the rating system effective today.
We have started tracking every time a player abandons a game. We have implemented an increasing penalty system, whereby the penalty for abandoning a game will go up depending on how often a player leaves a game without finishing.
We understand that occasionally players might close the game by mistake, lose their Internet connection, have an emergency, etc. so on the first offense the penalty will be low, but if happens repeatedly over a period of time, the penalty will steadily increase.
We hope this will help to discourage this behavior and isolate the players with high abandoned rates. We will start displaying the number of abandoned games on player's profiles.
In the near future, we will be introducing new exclusive tables for players with higher ratings. Players with high abandoned rates will not be allowed to join these tables.
We hope this will create an incentive for players to play more respectfully and will separate the serious players from those just here to try it out.

I have been in the middle or near end of sooooo many games and it freezes and a message comes on stating an error has occured. I have been charged with FIVE abandoned games and i have never ABANDONED a game. How can i get this changed. I did however loose internet connection last week and i was on the last hand getting ready to win when that happened.
i have only LEFT one game intentionally because someone was at the door all of the other abandon are by no fault of my own. HOw can i get this fixed??
my partner and i were just about to WIN and of course the message SOMETHING WENT WRONG GAME ENDED SERIOUSLY . I feel that my partner and i should have the win and certainly not be marked with a abandonment
ok JOSH please help resolve this issue. I was in the waiting room with Rihel rating 809, myself971, Mark 2322 and littleprettyliz 1517, Rihel were partners rating total of 1775, mark and PLL 3839,SERIOUSLY HOW DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING
@Terber Do you remember if they won the bid on the last hand? When both teams break the points to win in the same hand the default setting is for the team that won the bidding in the last hand will win, not the team with the highest score. This setting can be changed in the offline game or if you create a private table but currently in the online tables this is the default.
Yes they did win the bid, but it just does not make sense if the other team made more points
I want to know why some players are allowed to abandon a game just because their opponents have a great meld. There are certain players that bail the minute they are going to loose, because of a great meld by their opponents. This is BS... sore loosers need to be penalized for their lack of integrity. You play the cards you are delt. Win, loose or draw.... You don't get to take your ball and go home just because you didn't get the best meld!
So I just played a game partner double deck..the same person who in the past bails when loosing, just bid 300 with 18 meld...stuck their partner with minus 300 and bailed so Marvin came in. Why is this allowed???

@Terber-4033 same here, getting kicked out of games by "an error has occurred" or game freezing up saying "its so and so's turn" then a minute later says "you've been removed for inactivity" while my sceen says otherwise. Many times this has happened. A lot of my abandoned games are from those 2 things, or loss of wifi with a router issue. Yes i have abandoned games, but only for those issues(not my fault) or playing with 2 players that just run the clock out, after 2 hrs i left game, couldn't take it.
Would rather Marvin pop in than let the app slow-play it to the end.
